Landscape Rug

This New Zealand pure wool rug is hand tufted in the Serge-Lesage Ateliers region of France and depicts the landscape of that region. Its tranquil softness recalls a tuft of green grass - grass that is greener than your neighbours. Length 236cm, Width 171cm. The raised areas of this rug are great to lean on or place your head on. The grass is removable just in case you do not trust your dog. It has a really deep pile that your feet just sink into and how different from any other rug.
Price: £1,598.00

Ball Chair

Bubble Chair The Ball Chair - or Globe Chair as it’s called sometimes - was designed by using one of the most simple geometric forms - the ball. Cutting of a part and fixing it at one point Eero Aarnio comes to a remarkable result - a completely unconventional shaped chair:
A Ball Chair is a “room within a room” with a cozy and calm athmosphere, protecting outside noises and giving a private space for relaxing or having a phonecall. Turning around its own axis on the base the view to the outer space is variable for the user and thus he is not completely excluded from world outside.

Fireplace of the future-Igloo

IglooThe EcoSmart Fire is an Australian innovation - an environmentally friendly open fireplace. Flue less and easily transportable, the EcoSmart Fire does not require any installation or utility connection for fuel supply, which makes it ideal for apartment and city living. Fuelled by a renewable energy (Denatured Ethanol), it burns clean and is virtually maintenance free.

The Igloo is a rectangular shaped fireplace. It is a freestanding piece of furniture designed to accept the EcoSmart flue less burner. The EcoSmart Fire Igloo is designed for installation in units, apartments, houses, and commercial premises including offices, bars & restaurants. The Igloo comprises a toughened glass frame for the back and sides with a ā€œdisappearingā€ effect and a non-combustible floating shelf (corian) that has a cut-out to accommodate a Top Tray (which is fitted flush with the shelf surface) and then the EcoSmart burner is inserted. The Igloo is a rectangular shaped fireplace. Cascading Columns

In 1903, the Williamsburg Bridge opened as the largest suspension bridge spanning New York’s East River. Never considered aesthetically beautiful, the bridge falls short in comparison with the acclaimed Brooklyn Bridge.
This proposal for a new railing along the pedestrian and bicycle walkway of the Williamsburg Bridge employs illuminated poles as part of the supporting structure. The poles light up when a pedestrian passes by, providing an alternative lighting source for the walkway. A pole is illuminated to roughly one-third of its height. The lit segment, which starts out at the bottom of the pole, gradually travels upward until it vanishes above the structure. Visible from afar, the lighting system is a reassuring indication of activity on the walkway, encouraging more people to frequent the bridge at night. Furthermore, the new lighting system may reduce costs for the bridge maintenance.
“This is a clear, elegant proposal for dramatizing the passage of pedestrians across the Williamsburg Bridge. The idea is to provide animated light for the walker as well as signaling to the rest of the world the live activity of the bridge. This concept is at once poetic and crystal clear, unburdened with any didactic message. It is a simple celebration of pedestrian life and the urban scene.”

Swarovski & Stella McCartney

Swarovski is delighted to collaborate with Stella McCartney’s art installation at Belsay House for “Fashion at Belsay”.
Using 7000 Swarovski crystals Stella has created a stunning three dimensional chandelier in her signature design; a horse. Reaching over four metres high Stella’s magical and romantic horse, named ‘Lucky Spot’, mottles the stonewalls of Belsay’s Great Hall.

Swarovski is thrilled to be involved in Stella McCartney’s installation at Fashion at Belsay: “Swarovski’s commitment to work with the best designers in the field of fashion, design and art to produce innovative and creative designs is exemplified by this project.” says Nadja Swarovski.
Stella McCartney adds “I loved working in an historical setting to create something with a modern edge. I wanted to recreate the powerful and sensual image of a rearing horse but still have a delicate side to it by using Swarovski crystals.”
