The Black Mamba by Nubeo – presented by Kobe
The newest luxury brand on the block, Nubeo, has chosen Kobe Bryant to sponsor their new brand ambassador. The new sports watch is called the Black Mamba which is derived from Kobe’s court nickname.
The time pieces are priced from $25,000 to upwards of $250,000. Kobe made it clear he is not a mere celebrity endorser, like Tiger Woods and Roger Federer.
Here is what Nubeo has to say makes The Black Mamba worth the price and Kobe’s collaboration:
The Black Mamba features a 48 mm case made of titanium treated with DLC. The bezel is ceramic. Rubber is used on the crowns, pushers and strap. Water-resistance is 100 meters and the case contains 131 components.”
And if that isn’t enough, some of the pieces feature sapphires. Nubeo, a Swiss watchmaker introduced the collection earlier this year but the individual time pieces will go on sale in a couple of months. Even Kobe noted that this is a tough economic climate to be pushing six-figure watches but Nubeo is prepared to keep their value high. According to the Wall Street Journal, the company will initially produce fewer than 1,100 units.
