The Imperial - special 10th anniversary of Michel Perchin

April 7th, 2006

Legendary. Brilliant. Catalyst. These are some of the terms used to describe Michel Perchin, the man who headed Peter Carl Faberge’s workshop from 1885 to 1903. A self taught goldsmith from a peasant background, it was Perchin who created the Imperial Easter Eggs, as well as many other of the great works that became the hallmark of the Faberge brand. His addition to the inner circle of Faberge artisans helped to form the nucleus that would make the firm the Jeweler of Russian Royalty.
The first of our 10th anniversary collections of superior writing instruments, The Imperial, is as brilliant as its name. Inspired by the extraordinary designs of the Imperial Palace, the multiple patterns of this pen are flawlessly balanced by the stunning design work on both the barrel and cap. The special 10th anniversary 18K gold nib will only be produced this year for our 10th anniversary collections. Crafted by hand according to our meticulous standards, The Imperial is available in four dazzling colors of which three are plated in 22 karat yellow gold: Red, White and Blue. The fourth is limited to only 15 in the world and was produced in yellow and rhodium. The fifth is limited to only 50 in the world and was produced in blue and rhodium. Limited in production to 88 of each color, The Imperial is available as either a fountain pen or rollerball.
