CHARRIOL Spring-Summer Escapade beneath sunny skies
March 31st, 2006
From escapade to Escapade, Coralie Charriol designs bags intended for trendy women on the move. The 2006 Spring-Summer collection, Escapade V, takes us from Rio to Italy via Casablanca.
Rio the wonderful is playing a major role in extending the global influence of Brazilian fashion. “Latino” designers are its ambassadors and Western designers draw inspiration from it. Coralie Charriol expresses this vibrant mood through leather and hessian lit up by shimmering gold or silver accents.
The materials are enhanced by sophisticated details: decorative studs, Charriol rings composed of the brand’s emblematic cable motif and two-tone chains allowing women to vary ways of carrying the bags, whether in the hand or on the shoulder. The curving lines appear to be borrowed from the city’s gorgeous beach and carnival queens. The Rio range is enriched with a more understated beige calfskin model.
Casablanca the white is a youthful megalopolis firmly geared to the future, while also dedicated to safeguarding its traditional activities such as leather crafts. In tribute to this art, the Casablanca bags are exclusively crafted in beige or brown leather. Models feature a wealth of elaborate details including straps and braids enhanced with Charriol metallic motifs, studs and rings.
