Sharp 904SH on japanese market soon

Sharp 904SHVodafone’s Japanese division has introduced a new mobile phone from Sharp that’s packed with hi-tech goodness to make gadget-fans drool. The 904SH features a VGA (video graphics array) resolution screen (480-x-640 pixels, four times the resolution of most handsets) and a face-recognition system that does more than offer a timely dose of ego massage.
You see, a small camera sits underneath the screen that can check the face of the user to make sure they are allowed to use the device – and if you are David Beckham, that includes accessing those precious celeb phone numbers! Face recognition takes just one second and there’s even a series of spoken cues the phone will use when you want to use it in the dark.
It goes on sale in Japan in April. Additional features include the capacity to chat (using Java and text) via Bluetooth with up to eight other users. The device also includes motion-sensing technologies for gaming, a 3.2-megapixel camera with 2x optical zoom. There are also stereo speakers that support 3D surround sound, and it kind of twists around, so you can bend it like Beckham.
