The Fragrance
Considered the founding father of American Fashion, Geoffrey Beene is best known for bringing grey flannel and wool jersey to the ballroom. Building on this distinguished style, the Grey Flannel fragrance was launched in 1975. The fragrance, created by Givaudan, is a Chypre-Green which is best distinguished by it’s Violet notes on top which warm down to rich woody notes of Oakmoss and Sandalwood. This classic scent is considered an icon fragrance that is unique all over the world.
Top notes: Galbanum, Neroli, Violet, and Fresh Citrus notes of Lemon and Orange
Middle notes: Rose, Jasmine, Ylang-Ylang with Spicy Clove and Cinnamon
Base notes: Oakmoss and Sandalwood
